Mission

Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center provides comprehensive educational programs that contribute to increased understanding and appreciation of natural resources management practices through the Boulder Lake Management Area which provides an interpretive window to showcase resources management including hydroelectric power generation and a working forest environment, and illustrates the many social, biological, and economic benefits of that forest

Program Overview

At Boulder Lake, we offer a variety of programs and educational opportunities. We host the Minnesota Master Naturalist program, host summer camps for K-12 students and have many public opportunities

Schedule a Naturalist Outing

The Boulder Lake ELC and the Boulder Lake Management Area are open year-round for all who want to immerse themselves in the outdoors and explore. Get out on the reservoir or check out the many trails, visit with a naturalist, and explore.

COST:

  • $60/hour up to 10 participants
    • $5/each additional participants
  • ** Canoe programs:
    • $20/hour per canoe - up to 3 people per canoe
    • PFD's and paddles included
